igital Assets Director Steppenwolf Theatre Company Steppenwolf Theatre Company is soliciting applicants for the position of DIGITAL ASSETS DIRECTOR. This position fulfills the theatre’s need for management of website operations and online marketing activity. The successful candidate will need to be: a) experienced in web operations and online marketing; b) skilled at web analytics and c) knowledgeable in online media content production. The Digital Assets Director reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and supervises the efforts of a digital assets administrator and media content coordinator. About Steppenwolf: The Steppenwolf Theatre Company is a not for profit, ensemble based theatre company operating in the city of Chicago, Illinois. Now in its 34th season, the company’s activities include a wide range of artistic programs including a five play subscription series, a visiting company initiative, non-subscription play productions, national and international tours, professional leadership programs, educational programs, new play commissions and workshops. The company owns four different facilities housing its three theatres, production facilities, offices and other support facilities. The theatre is currently participating in major grants from the Wallace, the Duke and the Mellon foundations. Each grant investigates some aspect of how to grow audience and artistic relationships through deeper interaction and engagement. Success requires important involvement on the part of the Digital Assets Director as we look to innovate in both web strategy and implementation. Responsibilities Web Strategy - Maintain and direct the Steppenwolf brand on all e-marketing platforms (website, email, social networking sites, etc) - Work with POP Multimedia on issues of web maintenance and the creation of new functionality - Create/supervise the creation of production/event/ensemble pages via the Content Management System - Update or supervise the updates of non-dynamic pages via FTP - Supervise the production/posting of all new media content - Supervise Steppenwolf’s presence and strategy on social networking sites - Code/deploy or supervise the coding/deploying of emails Analytics - Analyze the performance of the website in general as well as specific content/pages using Google Analytics - Analyze the performance of emails using TMS and Tessitura - Provide analysis, reporting data and statistics for various grant and foundation activity - Build, deploy and analyze surveys created through Zoomerang Other - Assist in recording and track sales for current single ticket and subscription campaigns - Analyze and forecast sales for future single ticket and subscription campaigns Compensation Compensation will be commensurate with qualification and experience and is competitive with prevailing compensation for similar positions within the non-profit performing arts industry.
